This is one of the patches from a Pokemon Gym project that I'm not sure ever got finished. I decided to have a go when I badly sprained my ankle and had a few days off work. Took over 40 hours and I have no idea what to do with it now but I like it cos it's colourful =)

There had been talk of doing something with the patches, but I'm not sure anything was decided. I think the Charity Quilt was on everyone's plates at the time, so it might have gotten pushed to the side for a bit. Perhaps that conversation should be rehashed...?

Yeah I know I wanna do the Dratini-Dragonair-Dragonite one and a few others if I can get my hands on the patterns but I reckon it'd be a good group thing to do. They aren't huge or complicated so I reckon anyone who likes pokemon could give it a go =)

Ahhh I just saw this on dA!
It's in my plans to restart the thing eventually but I have to try to get my hands on the already done pieces, many of which are with the lady who was organising the project. She had some real life crises to deal with and didn't respond to any of my messages.
I'm gonna leave myself a memo about this project, make sure I get back to it soon

Awesome BMH I'd love to be the spark that ignites this project again =D
There's so many and they're so cool and if enough people are interested we could periodic ones and eventually do all the gens and that would be the bomb!
The original plan was to send a quilt or something to Japan with all the Gen1 ones wasn't it?

It was to make quilt(s) to be auctioned off and the proceeds were meant to go to the Red Cross disaster appeal. Since that's waaaaay past now, I'm not sure that'll be the plan next time, but I'm sure we'll come up with something

Maybe they can all be made into a quilt for next years Child's Play? Then most of the work is already done!
BMH, do you think it's possible to get the squares back at this point? A bunch of us also contributed money for materials...

I'm not sure, I don't want to build up hopes in case it's not. But if it's possible then I'll do it. I'm really sorry that it turned out this way. I do think it could have been handled a LOT better. I partly blame myself, for not doing enough to keep it alive. Maybe I could have done more, not left it so long etc.
But let's not use this thread to discuss it anymore - this is about Shazbang's piece. We can come back to the patchwork topic in a more suitable place.
Hope the ankle is better, Shazbang!
