Hi.. newbie to the boards here.
I found the site through the Star Trek X-Stitch book (yay!) I got the book for my son... well, for me to do projects for my son (who is 11). He loved seeing that crafting wasn't just kittens and flowers for old ladies. We love looking at the crafts on this site together, and he is now inspired to do some of his own. He designed (well, I did the hard work of actually making the grid, he picked out the colors and guided me) a Minecraft wolf. He's also got/created patterns for an enderman and a chicken. Of course it's taken him 2 months to get this far because he'd much rather be playing the game or watching Minecraft Family on YouTube. It's just great that he sees crafting and crafters that have his same interests and doesn't view it as a "pink girls only thing".
