Gaming quilt WIP

Post by epiphany »

I'm making a big quilt for my 6 year old son. It will eventually include a mix of cross stitch & custom-printed fabric based on a range of awesome games (mainly from my childhood but he's played most of them too). I thought I'd post progression shots as I go...although I think this thread could end up spanning a long time frame, depending on how my enthusiasm goes!

The first block I'm working on is based on Wonderboy 3: The Dragon's Trap. It'll end up being a progression of all the hero forms. I've finished Human & the next is Lizard Man (those green squares on the right!). The most time consuming bit of this was trying to refine the colours...the red is still not the same as on the game but I actually prefer the slightly darker colour, to be honest - otherwise it looks too orange.

Oh, I love that game. I downloaded the Wii virtual console TurboGrafx version a few years back. I remember playing it on Master system (or was it?) when I was really young. (Or barely remember, my memories aren't too clear from when I was 5 XD)

Can't wait to see your updates, the colors look awesome so far! :)
