My dad has a bright yellow sports car, and his liscense plate is stnglkab (sting like a bee), so i made him some bees - boo-bees to be exact!

They are stitched on 14 ct plastic canvas and backed with black felt. Took about 12 hours of stitching.

Wow! can't believe its been almost a year since i've completed a project! I blame my video game backlog. So my new insanity will be working on my own child's play style quilt, which will probably take years to stitch that many squares myself. Slight difference is that i am working on 18ct, so the squares are 108x108, which gives me slightly larger images, and potential a smidge more detail. Mostly chose 18ct because its what i have the most of and what i am most comfertable stitching on.

First completed square is Ninjini from Skylanders Giants. Me and the bf are crazy for skylanders - we have like 90 of the little buggers and all the games (even have 2 copies of swap force so i can double dip on achievement points between my xbox 360 and xbox one). I need to come up with 48 squares for a queen size blanket, so any game suggestions would be awesome - i only have about 10 planned out so far. XD

Very cool; I've thought about doing a quilt myself with title screens from games, but i've never committed to the idea. The super mario world maps will keep me busy for plenty of years I think
