I've been MIA on here for a long while, so to kick off my comeback here's a mini kraid I'm making for part of a larger project that I plan on having completed over the next couple weeks =)
My husband is starting a new job and he wanted some new game shirts that weren't tee's SOooooo hopefully this super metroid one will turn out well. =D
I've sewn plenty of cross stitched fabrics onto fabric. I tack it into place with some thread, put some thin stabilizer on the backside , depending on the fabric I might use a hoop too. Then I use the zigzag stitch on my sewing machine, but close it up really small, but the width of the stitches I used in the cross stitch. and go around the outside. I'll be doing it this weekend, expect finished pics soon =D
Is there a way to get a close-up photo of the stitching? Would love to see how that works... I understood the process as you told it to me, but much more visual of a learner when it comes to crafting. ^_^
Looks so great, though! Looks like something I could do to embellish some of my "boring" blouses...
