Pokemon, Harry Potter, and Star Trek, oh my! [Completed]

Post by sirinth »

So I haven't been on here in a while, figured I'd show you guys some of the stuff I'd been up to.
Let me know what you think!

This was done for christmas last year, for a friend obsessed with Star Trek.

There's some instructions on my website if you want to make one.

From the wiki:
A biscornu is a small, 8-sided, stuffed ornamental pincushion, usually made out of Aida cloth or linen. Embroidery or cross-stitch is used to decorate the top and bottom of the cushion. A button is typically secured in the center of the cushion to give a small depression on the top. Beads, tassels and other objects can decorate the biscornu. They are typically able to fit in the palm of your hand. The name is derived from a French adjective, meaning skewed, quirky or irregular.

WOW. It's no secret that I'm a huge Star Trek fan. That Ode to Spot piece is amazing. And it must have taken forever! Good job! :)

The Ode to Spot piece is incredible! What size fabric did you use to make that? I like the tiny letters.

Didn't take too particularly long, from what I remember. Less than a month, without even stitching every day.

I believe it was done on 28 count fabric. That's my favorite. Because then I can be lazy and only do half stitches and still get good coverage. xD Hah.
But there you have it.

I know! Isn't it adorable? I plan to make an entire series like those. Christmas ornaments, maybe.
I put the pokemon biscornu pattern up for sale on etsy. :o (And the biscornu itself), so we'll see how things pan out. If I start making more..
