Might be better to start up a separate thread for gen 2 WIPs. Would be easier to keep track and get less confused, also any questions brought up, you could be sure to know which pattern they're asking about. Handy to have all the info and appropriate links in the first comment too for those who get inspired to take up the challenge! Oh and perhaps some top tips too! :)

I fixed my mistakes and I've made a fair amount of progress since my last update! Hopefully will be starting page 2 tomorrow :D

Looking good! I started myself, haven't gotten very far. I usually get a few hours to myself at the end of the day. Sometimes I stitch, sometimes I don't. I've started in the upper right corner. Had to pick out about 3 hours worth of work almost right after I started because I had an entire row over one stitch > <
I'll post some pics once I feel I've made enough progress to be proud of, haha

Looking forward to seeing how you've done Mystik! I feel your pain about unpicking, I've had to do it about 4 times now and it almost made me give up.

I've managed to get about 5 hours a night, as I'm relatively new to cross stitching I'm quite slow. After 2 weeks this is where I'm up to

Wow. Just wow  So very epic indeed. All of your works look wonderful! Very interesting to follow progress on so many individual stitching styles and starting points haha. I wouldn't have even known where to start! I like the page by page idea, especially on something this large for sure. I would love to try my hand at it, but I'm a little intimidated haha!

To those that have completed this piece - what was your total stitch time, roughly? I saw that it was nearly two years since the original post to the first completed one, but I didn't see when it was started :)

Dedication a must have on this one, no doubt! Love it!

I've read on the blogs of two people who have completed it 8 months for one and 130 days for the other. At my pace, I'm looking at 2 years. :P

Keep up the great work Fennekin! Looking good!

I'm just about to finish the second page, having started on Boxing Day 2012. Not particularly fast, but I don't get much time apart from Saturdays and school holidays (I teach, so weekdays are pretty much given over to that!) It also didn't help that I ended up playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for a while. It's an awesome pattern though, I'm enjoying doing it!

Page 2 is finished! Already made a small start on page 3 but I'm ill at the minute, so I haven't done much and I doubt I will be stitching for a few days.

Anyway, here's my progress!

You call that slow stitching? That's a great pace to me :) I've been distracted trying to finish my son's birth announcement, but as soon as that's done I'll get to working on this. I understand completely about the picking. I had to repick the same part like 3 times...I was beginning to question my ability to count correctly :D
I started in the upper right corner but so far haven't gotten very far. I figure I'm looking at doing this for at least the next two years as well, haha

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum after just finding this stitch last night.

I just ordered all the threads and the fabric to begin! As soon as it gets here I'll start and post updates. Haven't decided where I'll start yet though.

I look forward to seeing everyone's updates as well as sharing my own.
