Re: Epic Pokemon pattern WIP!!
Re thread entanglement:
I'm not sure exactly how I do it, it is not a deliberate technique I just don't really get tangles. I will try to explain my general method to see if that helps.
The piece is on a scroll frame with a floor stand so obviously I am not packing it up and moving it around which has to help a lot. I have at most twelve needles threaded and the rest of the ends I stretch out parallel (combing them a bit with your fingers helps) and wrap loosely around the side bar to keep them out of the way. When you need to use one you can lift it out with your needle and gently pull it from the bundle.
It is inspiring to see after three years there are still people starting work on this crazy project. Does any one know how many people have actually finished it?

Three that I can think of right now. I don't know if there are more people that just haven't posted their finishes here.lucybaddog wrote:Does any one know how many people have actually finished it?

I can understand how to keep them from being tangled but how do you keep track of which color is which?lucybaddog wrote:Re thread entanglement:

Is there a threat to post WIPs of the OTHER epic gen1 pokemon pattern? Cause I've been working on that for about a month now.

I make sure I leave them in the right place so I just have to check the pattern to see which colour it is. I don't tend to leave many a long way out so it is easy to count where they need to be left for the next section.blackberrybear wrote:I can understand how to keep them from being tangled but how do you keep track of which color is which?
Looking good brityboo - I love the way everyone works on them in their own way so you get to see them growing differently.
