Welp. I've been a lurker on this thread since it began. I'm a crocheter, but after finishing my first cross stitch a couple weeks age (sprites from the TV show Community), I've found the courage to take the plunge!

Bought all of the supplies last night (save three colors that were out of stock) and started in the middle of the pattern around Slowpoke's nose.

Just wanted to let you know that apparently poke-insanity is a communicable disease that you all are spreading! Thanks for this wonderful community and project!

I've finally managed to finish my page 10! So the bottom 2 rows are done! Here's a picture from a little before the finish, I only had to do the blue background on the side, but that has been taken care off right after taking the picture



I'm thinking of re-organizing the pattern-pages, so it will be around 50x50 stitches per page... That way, the in-between-goals will be easier and quicker to accomplish

Lijnloos; I KNOW RIGHT?! I was looking at it yesterday, and I usually smile and keep going with what I was doing, but this time I just froze - my mind was totally blank. Then it hit me how long I've been working on this and how BIG it is! XD I'm so close to finishing! <3

I've been thinking of opening an Etsy shop when I finish this. I know a ton of people that have never heard of cross-stitching but absolutely love the Christmas/birthday cross-stitches I give them.
