But you will definatly finish before me, as it looks like you have all the colours you need, where I buy 1 or 2 colours at a time and use them up as thats all I can afford!! If I could I would have done it like you! But Ive worked a few hours on it today!! I got my replacement charger for my laptop! And the reason I had to wait is that I dont have a printer, so I couldnt get a paper copy, so I use my laptop for the pattern...(and that way I can watch stuff on the other half of the screen! )
Yep! XD I dunno, my classes start back up the end of the month, I won't be able to work on them all day anymore! D,=
Aaaaah, yeah that makes sense. I was just too worried to do one color at a time, I mean...if I messed up by ONE stitch I could throw everything off D:
Oooooh! Duh! I feel stupid for not realizing that! I'm glad you got your replacement!

Yeah I know where youre coming from...I messed up on the first day...and have made many mistakes since...but Im just going with the flow, adjusting where Ive messed up and hoping no-one will find out!! And Im starting university in Sept, so my workload on this will be drastically reduced!! Thats why Im trying to get as much done before then!!
My first update. I've been working on it for a little while, just haven't posted anything of it. Figured I should - from BMH - since I joined the swap.

Thanks! Looking good so far!
...all these people showing pictures make me feel so bad for not picking this piece up again. I never seem to have the enthusiasm for stitching it anymore and I'm not sure I ever will
Anyone know what I can do about it?

Have you considered passing it off to someone who would enjoy working on it? Perhaps someone who hasn't started it yet but has expressed an interest in doing so wouldn't mind getting a headstart!

Actually I had thought about that! But wasn't sure if anyone would want it, lol. Also, I often go through periods of disenchantment with projects and maybe this is one of them. Damn my ambivalence!
However, if there is someone who'd like to take it off me and continue it, PM me and we'll talk

tetris<3 wrote:It looks amazing! How do you mark off the squares? With string or a pencil? Just wondering, I have never marked my works off before.
I got a special cloth/fabric-marker... it should wash off! And it will probably do, cause I can allready see some parts fading where I hold it often...
BMH, Maybe passing it to someone might help... or even the thought of passing may get you to feel like you want to finish it alone... Anyways, good luck!
@Joke, nice update! You are really getting along. I like seeing someone else working from the bottom up like me
