OK secret confession time; I liked wind waker better than OoT. Not much better, but still. Wind Waker needs more craft love.

I'll admit, I hated Wind Waker when it first came out. There's still a lot about it I don't like, but it's grown on me. Its game play is awesome, despite the eye straining graphics. Awesome piece. :) :link

I didn't like Wind Waker...
They made Link lose his sword.
Link NEVER loses his sword.
Ever.
I played it though.
I liked the way they made the smke on the game.
It reminded me of the smoke from Mulan.
^3^

:P Link loses his sword in Ocarina of Time! Ganon flings it away! Then you can save your game, restart the game, and have no sword at all and equip, say, the Megaton Hammer as your sword xD

I have a soft spot for all of the "odd-ball" Zelda titles. I think I might actually put Link's Awakening at the top of my list without shame, even though I didn't play it fully until the DX version. I mean, I loved Ocarina of Time but I would, and I'm serious here, actually put Majora's Mask above it in my personal hall of fame.

No, really.

Funny side note about Majora's Mask: I still don't own the N64 cart, but I have beaten it to 100% completion. I finished it over the course of two holidays during my sophomore year of college. I rented the cart from a rental store near my parent's house over Thanksgiving, finished the first two levels, and then had to go back to school. The next month, over the Christmas break, I rented the cart again thinking that I know what I need to do, can live without a few masks, and just want to get to the end. I managed to rent the exact same cart with my saved game right where I left off and plowed on through.

I really should go ahead and buy that cart again. I have it on that collector's disk that came with Wind Waker, but it didn't survive the port very well.

It might not come as any surprise that I similarly love Wind Waker. I thought the art direction was superb. The animation was smooth. The cut scenes and semi-scripted battles were engaging even in standard mute Nintendo fashion. Admittedly, the game does drag toward the end, particularly on multiple plays. I still haven't fully forgiven them for that lackluster Triforce collection.

So I say more Wind Waker! Did anyone happen to see the real stained glass some clever person made from the opening sequence? I can't remember where I saw that, but it was awesome.

I don't mean that I hate WW by any means, I just like OoT better. My husband gives me the same crap for not liking LttP as well as I do OoT, as that's a more classic Zelda style. I also loved MM, but agree that it seemed much more difficult to me on the GC disc than on the N64. The Master Quest of OoT on the GC, however, was awesome.

My main beef with wind waker was the navigation. If u didnt get warp abilities, u spent all ur time just sailing. And its been a long time since i played, but i dont recall gorons in that game?!
