Alicebluesummers wrote:Hiya, I just started stitching. I just bought some awesome patterns off of etsy! I bought a tutorial book along with supplies, but the codes the book uses are different from the codes on the pattern. Does anyone know what "Mark" "code" and "Ct" mean on patterns?
Mark is what symbol is used on the pattern probably.
Code is most likely the DMC color code- aka the code for the floss.
Ct is almost certainly count, meaning how many stitches you will do with that color.

"Mark" is the symbol used in the pattern. So every time you see the "+" on your pattern, that is where you would stitch with the black 310 thread.

The "ct" stands for count. It's the number of stitches total that you will do in that color. It gives an idea of how much thread you'll be using, and what the most common colors are. In your pattern, it looks like you'll be mostly using the white B5200 color.
