I love the look of backstitch and don't mind doing some, but I get tired of lots of "fractional" backstitching. I get confused sometimes on which part of the square I'm supposed to pierce. I'm almost done with a Christmas Llama that has quite a bit of it and it made me need a break. I'm going to hopefully finish in the next few days, but here's some other WIPs updates.

Added Hunger Game line and mockingbird emblem to We Do Geek Cut out and finished my old hardanger ornament I Solemnly Swear I am up to no good (in Slytherin colors) Didn't stitch on Emerald Dragon in December but did make progress since the first post of it here. Finished another blackwork diamond/block Hit the attachment limit. I'll post some more new starts and wip updates after I finish my xmas stitch.

Well, it's also called over-1 backstitching on evenweave. Though there are still a few times when you have to pierce the fabric to put the stitch in the right place. The blackwork area in the center panel is full of over-1 stitching. here's the whole thing before yesterday's stitching and in poor lighting . Here's the Cute Christmas Llama by FuzzyFoxDesigns

wow! Everything looks amazing! I love the colors of the Slytherin crest, the little owl in the solemnly swear is so adorable, and the backstitching looks fantastic (you're almost making me want to do some, but none of my projects are ready). Aww, cute little kitty. I'm working on that one as well! Love the little jelly bean toes.

Speaking of kitties, I finished another Hello Kitty about a week and a half ago. Say hi to the Captain (Fluffybutt). Once I got a suitable blue blend for the uniform, it went quickly. I also designed an A for his helmet which is in dark silver metallic and did the stars and part of the shield in light silver metallic... and I finished Hawkeye's outline and started Black Widow. CatThor still needs 90 more stitches after some color picking.
and Egyptian Sampler was unrolled today. Since my last post here, I've worked on the Queen's over-1 face and added around 1700 backstitch. "
