Re: Venting Thread, or FML!
I've been quiet these past week. My granddad's cancer got really bad. I had to make an emergency trip to go see him...and got broken up with at the same time. I just got a call tonight that he passed away. I'm kinda glad he's not in pain anymore but it still hurts..a lot. Not to mention I feel alone. :/ Men have awful timing.

Re: Venting Thread, or FML!
So we found out Friday that our tortie cat, Porsche, has a type of lymphomic cancer. Being a pair of college students we don't have the funds to give her the treatment that she needs to cure it. So we have decided to have her put to sleep on Monday so that she won't be in any pain from the cancer or the fluid on her lungs that is making it difficult for her to breathe. Plus we've only had her since January this year and she's not even 2 years old!

I'm sorry to hear that Anarchy, if you need a chat my pm box is always open.
Sorry to you too knittenkitten, must've been a difficult decision but it will save her from suffering. I'm here if you need to talk.
As for my own troubles, Mum saw a doctor today who couldn't believe the attitude of the paramedic who came to us, he didn't even take her blood pressure or anything, just told her to deal with it and we should've called the non-emergency number and then left. The Doc says he would've called an ambulance in 10mins let alone 30, and said that if we had called the non-emergency line, they would've called an ambulance too. The Doc kept apologising on the paramedic's behalf.
But anyway, the doc says her heartbeat is fine, her blood pressure is fine, she's now got an appointment with the hospital for further checks.
My Gran was sick a few more times but now seems to be OK apart from a sore throat.
My uncle has been informed they will be operating on his heart, which has settled him a bit now.
And I'm still knackered and still worrying. But ho hum.

I'm glad that:
- your Gran's doing better,
- your uncle's going to be treated,
- and the doctor confirmed that a) it's perfectly reasonable to respond the way you did to "just a nosebleed", and b) the paramedic was an ass.

Wow, Bex - things really aren't letting up for you, are they? What happened, and is your mum OK? I hope you're OK too...QueenBex wrote:Mum's been taken to A&E.

She's now home and ok. She had another attack at work (her uniforms white heh) and was taken to A&E, nothing much happened there, they just waited for it to stop again. she's got an appointment at the hospital at the end of the month for further checks.
