Ally, I'm sorry you and your family have to go through this!

I do hope that things get better and that the people coming to the house stop being such jerkfaces, including the real estate agent!

One of my dad's sister's passed away today. I think it was a week or so ago that they diagnosed her with liver disease and gave her 6 months to live. She didn't quite make it. It's going to be a rough time for our family as my dad and most of the family didn't get a chance to see her before she passed away. She's in California, most of the family is in Arkansas. And yeah....that' pretty much it...

That's truly terrible - not getting a chance to see her must be so crushing. I'll keep you all in my thoughts.

I know this is nothing compared to the hard times most of you have been through, but I'm going insane! I have been suffering from gallstones since August. I was supposed to have a quick easy in and out scope surgery on April 30th, but they had to switch to an open procedure *insert medical jargon here*. So here I am, day 6 and still in the hospital. Now I am looking at a 6-8 week recovery instead of 10-14 days. Guess with 2 months off of work I can get a lot of stitching and gaming done. Thanks for listening, sometimes it just feels better when you let it all out.

I hate medical problems, they always end up being worse than they seem they should be. I'm sorry about your galstones its terrible to be in pain for that long.
Recently I had to go the the ER for kidney stones, I was really really hoping it was my appendix so that it would just be a one time thing (but of course it couldnt be the "easy" option). Luckily I passed the stones after a while but when they did my CT scan they found a large cyst on my spleen. The problem with this is that it isnt causing any symptoms so the surgeon would like to leave it in, but its large and a unique type so he also kind of wants to remove it. I have now gone to 2 surgeons, had a CT scan, 2 ultrasounds, and 2 MRIs in the past month just to decide what to do with this thing. I should get my MRI results back this week and a desicion can finally be made.
If I do end up having surgery I will probably be on sick leave for 2 weeks, luckily that isn't terrible but the intial estimate they gave me was 3 days.
Oh and when I had my ultrasound and MRI both technicians said they had never seen anything like this before. I've decided that this is the last thing I want a medical proffessional to say when I have something wrong with me.

I am surprised surgeons aren't fighting to take you spleen out just so they can write a paper about it. Just think, your spleen could be medically famous!
Definitely not a fun thing to hear from the techs about results. When I went in for an xray today the first thing I heard when I got in the room was a staff saying "I don't know what I'm doing". Very comfortable :S. Took 4 x ray techs poking at my tubes and incisions until they gave up and got a nurse to tell them what they were supposed to do. Was not pleasant, but I am down to one drain tube now (stays in for 6 weeks tho), and I will be home tomorrow. I never thought I'd miss the smell of the kitty litter box XD
