And people below, as well - women's clothing is not made for actual women, no matter their size. :(

I swear, I'm going to buy some men's pants and just fix them to fit me. Sometimes when I go to my bf's house, I'll wear a pair of his shorts, and the pockets are HUGE. But the pockets on my pants can barely fit my iPhone, much less all the crap I want to drag around with me. And I've kinda gone purseless since going to college.

-sigh- Decisions, decisions.

Many years ago I decided to buy a fashionable coat. I was tired of my big, puffy thing and wanted something sleek. I found the perfect coat! It's gray and long with a full skirt. It's beautiful. I spent WEEKS complaining about the fake pockets. Why would someone put what LOOKS like a pocket on a COAT but it isn't a pocket at all! Look, it's all just stitched together! What is wrong with these people! Eventually, someone pointed out that that's how fancy clothes work. You're supposed to cut the stitches to open the pocket. Oh. Oops. I guess maybe I wasn't ready for fancy clothes after all. And then there was the time, a little while later, when I bought some somewhat cheap pants that really DID have a fake pocket on the back but I thought that I knew this trick and fetched the thread cutter...

It's like a very odd Russian roulette...

Here's my FML moment...and I really, really, really feel terrible about this. When I let my dogs out for the last time last night, I said out loud to my dogs (because I talk to them often), "Wow, someone's got a fire going that smells amazing!"

Yeah...that fire smell was my husband's friend's home burning down. The whole 5-plex building burned to the ground last night and there I was enjoying the smell, thinking it was just a fire pit :(

At least the hotel here is putting him up for free. We're cooking for him until he can get back on his feet a bit.

I shouldn't feel bad about that if I were you, you weren't to know and its amazing how much good can come out of a bad event, thats like life in general, up sides and down sides.
How is your friend doing? Must be incredibly difficult to go through that.

Nuts to it, nuts to it all.

I'm fed up. I'm an idiot. I think too much.

Just, nuts to this day....

Edit: finally going home, should never have left in the first place. I need a drink.

And I've got whiskey! :)

The guy who's house burned down is being investigated because it happened the same day he submitted paperwork to have his divorce finalized, so it's suspicious. His dog and cat died in the fire, which makes me even sadder about the whole situation :( His insurance is not paying anything until the investigation is over, BUT on a good note, it seems the people out here have set aside their differences and are helping out, so that's good!

I feel sorry for your husband's friend, Rockinwithrammstein... :cray:

I'll take a beer too... wait. I've just finished mine. My boyfriend will undergo an emergency surgery tomorrow... after 4 days of suffering and wondering what could it be (kidney stone ? appendicitis ?...), now we knows what is wrong ; an urachal cyst (I didn't know what it was at all). I hope everything will be OK and that he won't suffer like that anymore
They'll have to keep the wound open, a nurse will come to look after it everyday... and he will be re-operated two monthes later...
 That's horrible.
