I actually just got off the phone with the fraud department and they said that I must have misread the email because it's not being sent to a store for pickup, it's being sent to my house. So I'm irritated now because that means that whoever ordered it is watching my house. Good luck to them getting to it before me, though, because I am home all day, every day. I hope they show their face. I am seething right now.

That is really bad. If you've told them its fraudulent why can't they cancel the order? Is there no way of involving the police or something? That said, I'd love to be a fly on the wall when it arrives. I hope you'll forgive me, but it almost sounds exciting! Good luck catching the little arsewipe!

The lady told me that once it's shipped, they can't stop it. She told me that people order things, have them sent to another house, swipe the package, and then return it to the store for cash. I already contacted UPS to make it so that the package requires a signature. My husband and I are going to be setting a trap. You can't see my porch until you're all the way up my stairs, so I'm going to set up a lawn chair and wait for them to come and try to get the box. I'm going to take a picture of the person and go to their chain of command.

I almost feel like I'm looking for a fight lol

Wait. This is happening to you on a military base?! Is this person an idiot?! I served in the military and have lived on bases when I was younger. If I'm remembering correctly engaging in fraudulent activity while being a member of the military is a VERY big no-no. What kind of idiot do you have to be to do that and possibly ruin your military career and possibly be discharged (dishonorably). And if it isn't someone who is in the service then they are going to be causing their family a lot of grief soon.

Yeah, not only is it a military base, but it's one in the middle of nowhere where everyone knows everyone. Word will travel fast around here.

I'm sorry you guys are having bad times! I was going to complain about having to get up at 5 AM to shovel snow but I think I won't now ;)

I'm sorry but this whole story made me lol. You should have an unloaded shotgun up there on the porch with you to complete the "trap" picture ;)

I've worked on the retail side of a case like this and here's why they don't have a lot of control: they have no idea who placed the order or what the circumstances are. The best way to stop this is to contact your credit card company or bank. I saw a $3000 order go through once (including a training session which was being held later in the week) and had the owner of the creditcard call up frantic. I had to tell him to call his bank/credit card to report it, there was nothing I could do since I couldn't really verify who had placed the order or who was calling :-/ Never found out what happened with it as I stopped working there...

so sorry for my rant. i don't have anyone to talk to. Some times i just wish i wasnt here. my mom moved in with me from another town back in august and it took our accts both negative trying to get her moved here. Were still playing catch up. we barely have enough to get by on :( I work from home for a call center third shift and she works days. Shes always harping on me b/c i'm always tired on Friday and Saturdays ( My days off) then i sleep almost all day sunday. The reason i'm usually tired on my days off is cuz we normally do stuff on saturdays so i end up getting off work at 5:30a on friday morning i usually stay up most of the maybe try and get a 2 or 3 hour nap, then i'm up till bout 10p on friday night then go to sleep and get up early on saturday morning usually cuz i cant sleep. then go do stuff all night then go to bed really late on saturday night so that i can sleep really late on sunday. Like last week i didn't go to bed to 6a on sunday morning so that i could sleep late then she still woke me up at like 2p on sunday and i wasnt' able to get a nap before i started work at 9p to work till 530a.

My mom loves to tell me that i'm lazy b/c i work from home and take phone calls. she basically told me today that i have a joke of a job and she has a really job cleaning a resident hall for a university and i 'm just lazy b/c i just sit on my ass all night.

Also my mom loves to remind me that she moved down here b/c were BOTH in debt but she makes it seem like she moved down here just to help me get out of debt (which hasn't happened were now in worse debt.) she was told if i moved back to my home town 2 and a half hours away that her boss would automatically give me a job. I didn't want to move back there. I wasn't happy there. Theres a reason i moved 2 and a half hours away. i hated living there. and that i'm selfish b/c i didn't move back. when we talked about moving in together. I asked her MULTIPLE times are you sure you are ok with moving here. and she always said yes shes excited. She was stuck in a rut in my home town and she thought moving here would be a good thing for her.

We got in to a really bad fight tonight right after i started working b/c this morning she told me when she goes to get gas in the morning she'll just take me with her and buy me a breakfast sandwich then bring me home to go to work. I told her in the morning b/c she leaves to make her 40 minute drive to work dont' worry bout taking me with you to go get gas. just get gas on your way to work and she started yelling at me telling me i'm lazy. all i was trying to do was save her time. she was sayign she would be ready for work by 530 in the morning so we could go get gas. if i dont' go with her to get gas she doesn't ahve to leave til like 6 or 615.

sorry to rant i just dont' know what to do. i'm so tired of everythign beign my fault and i just need to get this out instead of keepign it bottled in and crying all night between phone calls.

I'm so sorry, berry. I know what the stress is like, having your mom move in with you. I was in a very similar situation.
As far as what she says to you, that's just not right. You have to decide what is the truth and stick to it, no matter what anyone says. Are you lazy? NO. So it doesn't matter what she or anyone says. You know you're doing your best. Be strong. Things will get better, somehow.

Sorry to hear you're under a lot of stress, berry. I think this just solidifies the fact that we need to get together soon. I know holidays are crazy and the like, but yeah....*hugs*

I don't know what it is about some mothers who have this innate need to guilt and make us feel bad! I vowed when I moved out that I would never go bad. I'm really sorry that you're in this situation!! I really hope you find some solid footing soon in terms of finances so that you can look at the living situation! Try your very best not to take it to heart. I know that's near impossible but we're here!
