I don't have a blog becuse I have a facebook, deviantart, etsy, and twitter. Is this something everyone thinks I should do? Is this something that could get me additional sales for my quilts?

I don't think so. But I do know that people are often interested in the WIP type things, ideas and thoughts behind projects. Blogs are a pretty good place for that!
And it doesn't hurt to extend your presence on the web
