Alright so I will bite, I got the eggs. Do I have to go on their forums?

Why can't we have a site that doesn't depend on views and clicks? Like you just have to show up and take care of it once a day, and after some time it hatches. Views and clicks optional?

You don't ave to go on their forum, though it can be helpful to see if there's new releases, bugs, updates, etc.
With the views and clicks, it's just the way they grow. Do you have a list of daycares to stick your eggies into?
I use:
http://draghatch.tk/
http://www.coup-detat.info/NDER/NDDC.php
dc.makegames.de/scroll.html
http://valleysherwood.com/

they're pretty easy to use, just dump your scroll name into the textbox, and select which eggs/hatchies you want to put in the daycare.
You can put them in as many as you want, but if they get too many views too quickly, they will get softshell, and it can kill them.
I usually pick two or three daycares from the list, and dump them in, ans about six hours from then they hatch (earliset they can hatch is 3 days 23 hours) I throw them in the others on my list, to make sure they hatch.

If they do get softshell, you can hide them, in the actions option on your scroll. Leave it for 12-24 hours, and it'll be right as rain. You will need to re-add them to the daycares though.

As long as you post fairly regularly here they should get enough views. I haven't looked into the daycares, and mine grow fine just on SpriteStitch alone.

If you do decide you want to keep going with the dragons, and get a ton of them, the best ones to pick up first are the reds, the oranges (magi) and the Pinks.

Image The reds can incubate an egg, taking a day off their egg stage. Can be very handy when you need to free up room, or want to have them hatch quicker.

Image The Orange eggs, that hatch into Magi Dragons, are essential. You use these to trade eggs. If you don't have any, you can accept incoming, and two way trades, where you offer an egg to be traded, but you cannot give eggs.

Image The Pinks are.. well, not essential, but they can make life a lot easier. They can influence the gender of the egg, so it'll grow into a boy or a girl. Very handy if you keep getting a certain gender of a dragon, but want the other! If you trade an influenced egg, it will lose the preset gender. If you trade an influenced hatchie, it won't.

If you want any, let me know. I can breed you up a few, and even keep them until they're hatchies so you don't lose egg space. :)

I'm thinking of founding a new sprite collecting site that has those features but they don't depend on the views. Although views and the like could influence it. Now I just need to find sprite artists . . .

Dragonadopters is similar to that. Dragons grow from visits, if they get less they just grow slower. You don't need to post them elsewhere for views though.

Setting up your own could be fun though :) What style are you thinking for it?

Mythical creatures, mostly, but it might be fun to add in anthropomorphic items, like a strawberry with a face, or a dancing marshmallow.

Only problem I see for me is this - I can't make sprites, I am not that kind of artistic, and I am no programmer. :banghead: Hehe, only problems. *snort*
