How does this game work? I think I may have heard of it but I don't remember.

Dragon Cave's own help page is actually pretty helpful:
http://dragcave.net/help, and the Dragon Cave wiki has even more info (great for looking up egg types, etc.):
http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Cave_Wiki
I've had generally bad luck breeding lately, but I did manage to breed a golden wyvern egg last night:

Anybody want it? I think these may be my favorite eggs; they just look so shimmery and purty

I can take it if no one else wants it. Also I am going to try breeding my seasonal again in a few days, I think mfay you are next in line still.

hi everyone!
I've been a dragon hoarder (this time around, can't find my old scroll!) for nearly a year now.
I was told about this thread by blackmageheart - in relation to sharing a peice i'm currently wokring on, of a
Sunsong Amphiptere
I've seen a few mentions of Vampires on this thread - I don't know if anyone else has had this happen, but sometimes if you get a successful bite, the other dragons will boot the egg off your scroll, and dump it into the AP. Annoying, but worth knowing. Actually, it just happened to me.
anencephaly 0 bites the egg and it is transformed into a vampire. However, your other dragons become repulsed by the egg and toss it away from you.
Also, the bite can kill the eggy.
That monkey stole my wallet bites the egg and it cracks open, killing the developing embryo inside.
Again, that just happened to me.

Welcome :)
I'll be taking a break from Dragon Cave but if anyone want me to try to breed something send me an IM and I'll see what I can do. It's hot and sitting at the computer isn't very attractive atm.

@ Arkani
I'm curious about the dog dragon you have its rather cute. Does that game require much of a regular time investment? and is it based around forum views or something else?

Pyper, he's from a site called Dragonadopters.com , as for time investment, you don't really need to do much. I log in every few days/weeks, and feed them, and hatch an egg if it's at the right level.
It doesn't need much time, and you can only add another dragon when the lowest level one gets to lv.30. I don't know if forum views do much for it, though i've stopped getting the 'feeling lonely' info on his page since I put him up here and on the regretsy forums.
I think it mainly works on being clicked on, and Unique Views, which causes them to grow faster, and produce more things - I think the canidragon, his species, is dragon fur and something else that he 'produces', that you can then sell off for dragon coins (get premium/rare content) and things like dragon food, crafting items, to make things to give them, to get more resources, etc.
Did that make sense?
