Movie Watch-a-long!

I work Monday-Friday, so unless it's a Friday night or Sat/Sun during the day, I'm probably out. I do think it would be best just to pick a day/time and whoever can join will. As far as how, guess that would be up to each individual? Just have to make sure it's the same version, right? Like, no extended versions or whatnot?

I agree with just choosing a day/time and anyone who can, join! I just hope it works out so that the people that can't make it, have a possibility to do it the next time.

Also wanted to ask: how is everybody going to watch? Streaming, dvd, etc?

It would depend for me. I have quite a collection of DVDs and I have Netflix, so it would depend on the movie and/or the internet connection (my internet can sometimes be temperamental).

Yeah it would just be a case of watching your own copy and we all using a chat thing, we were thinking the Facebook chat thing but I think maybe using something else might be better.

Of course I could always use my own copy to Livestream it, which has a chat feature. The only problem with that is that it sometimes goes dodgy and doesn't always work for everyone and glitches etc, also I dunno about the legal side of things...

I'd much prefer watching it in our own ways and finding a chat feature we can all use.

If it was password protected and you didn't charge us, it'd realistically probably be fine. But way easier for everyone to sort their own out.

The Watch-a-long will take place on this Saturday, Feb. 21 at UTC 21:00. To figure out what that is for you, add or subtract your time zone offset. For me, I'm UTC -6. 21 minus 6 is 15:00, or 3 PM. If you're in Australia, you'll be on Sunday morning.

If you're busy that day/time, I'm sorry it didn't line up this time around. I'm sure we'll do more of these if it's successful.

I plan to stream mine on Netflix. If someone who knows how wants to set up a private stream, that could work for those who don't have a copy.
