Almost certainly. The problem is it almost certainly won't be cheap =(

I'm ill, I'm tired and the bus driver calling me 'sweetie' was all it took to * me off. So here's a very quick, very brief summary.

Maya managed to expertly pick the lock of the chest, inside were a bag of gems, a pearl necklace and a gold ring.
John regained consciousness to stumble over and shove the chest, triggering a trap of acid spray, hitting all of us before filling the room with an acid cloud.
We all stumble to the stairs across the room, getting damaged some more. I get knocked out again, so does John. The others grab us down the stairs. Once at the bottom I think pity was taken on us and me and John regained consciousness and a tiny bit of health, coughing and hacking all the while.

We don't head off into the room beyond. We see that the acid cloud clears pretty quickly in the previous room, we go back up and rest.
Joe finds a slight passage/narrowing of the room and a ladder going up. He smashes a bottle and spreads broken glass around the bottom of the ladder whilst we rest, nothing happens.

We go back down and find some Kobolds there. Elizabeth, Taran and Lea attack them and kill them in a myriad of eldritch blasts and crossbow bolts. They reach for pouches they are wearing, but don't get there in time. Me and John join the others and we find the pouches full of glue bombs and flame bombs that we distribute between us.
There's a key on the wall, we take it to open the gate at the bottom of the stairs. Me and Maya see dragon eggs and dash for one to try and lift it and take it back. We fail to lift it. Meanwhile on the ledge above, Joe sees the dragon eggs and throws an eldritch blast at one, cracking it, Axel moves in to whack it with Derek and cracks it open, the baby dragon inside gasps and dies.
Meanwhile two drakes have started attacking. Fighting ensues. I manage to cut off the one's ear before a couple of turns later I finish the it off. The others killed the other one.
There is something moving at the back of this room, looks like the whole wall itself is moving. Once the drake fight is over we hear a loud voice saying "why have you disturbed my nap?"

And that's where we left it.

I actually pocketed the ear, the others think I'm collecting parts to create my very own drake.
I have a drake foot and a drake head in my bag still, I don't think I ever did anything with them so they should still be in there slowly rotting away, might as well add the foot.

My axe is now known as Drakesbane. Given by my friends. I like it. I hope I get to keep using Drakesbane so effectively against this particular foe.

"who disturbs my nap!?!"
A voice booms out slowly, archaicly From the back of the cavernous room. Dead drakes at our feet, a shattered dragon egg by our side, with another egg still intact in our other side.

"enemies of the dragon cult" Elizabeth calls out. "are you an enemy of the dragon cult?" She asks less confidently.

"hmm... I care for them neither way" the voice shudders out slowly, surely and somewhat bored.

The whole back wall crawls with movement and long tentacles reach out amongst us, a face is revealed near the ceiling of this cave. (Roper)
It reaches out and a tentacle wraps itself around a dead drake, picking it up, the creature eats it. "hmm.." it looks down and grabs another drake body and swiftly consumes it.

"what are you doing down here?" we ask it timidly as though not really wanting to know. My hand tightens on Drakesbane, it's coarse handle rubbing into my palm comfortingly.

The creature ignores the question and looks around again. It's eyes fall on us and it murmers again. "I am still hungry" it was little more then a fact, non threatening but still able to send shivers down my spine. Then I remember the meat still in my pockets. I take it out slowly and set it out before us, almost like an offering.

The creature seems interested, pokes the meat with one of its long tentacles before grabbing it all up in one scoop and consuming it, it's murmer singing out again, this time in satisfaction, "where did you get this?" it asked painfully slowly.

"I took it from a room filled with meat" I answered sensing an opportunity. "help us and I can show you where it is." the creature sniffed at this, "I have no need of your help."
Elizabeth stepped beside me and looked up into the ferocious creature's face. "we'll give you directions to the room if you let us live. It will save you a lot of time."
The creature agreed to this new proposal and Elizabeth quickly told it where to go. The creature didn't hesitate, moving faster then it spoke it scuttled off across the ceiling and left the room. I felt us all breath a sigh of relief.

We turned to the last remaining egg and with a nod me and Axel swung our great axes and destroyed the thing. A small baby dragon could be seen inside, dead. I took one of it's claws as a reminder.

We promptly left the room the way we had come. The beast that was Langradrosa's corpse still lay silent where we had left it in this larger cavern.
The way was obvious to us, the rope ladder we had seen before needed to be explored.
Elizabeth took to it stealthily and soon reached the top, there was a hole in the ceiling above, covered in something soft but heavy. She took a dagger and balancing precariously cut into the covering to find it wasn't actually held down. She reached up and, using the hole she had cut into it pulled it down.
She proceeded to pop her head in through the opening above before coming back down to rejoin us.
"There is nothing up there" she declared describing to us a lavishly furnished but empty room. Elizabeth decided that stealth and magic was the best way to move forward and before our very eyes her whole being twinkled and transformed and a heartbeat later Langradrosa stood before us once again.
Elizabeth, now disguised as the half dragon returned up the rope ladder followed by Axel, who was still wearing the enemies uniform. Discussions later on revealed to me what happened up there.
Elizabeth stood in this new room and found herself immediately surrounded by fire, a moment later and she realised it was just a trick. A voice called out "what is it now?" She looked up to see the mysterious lady in purple clothes stood there looking at her. She waved a hand and the flames disappeared. This Lady believed Elizabeth to be Langradrosa. "and why did you destroy my rug? You better replace it" "no, have your men do it" Elizabeth replied doing her best to imitate Langradrosa's voice. "leave me alone, it's too late for this nonsense." the mysterious lady announced.
Our teifling took this opportunity to escape and headed back down the ladde, frantically gesturing Axel to get down.
Once she was back down again we formulated a plan, to lasso the Lady and pull her through the opening.
Elizabeth took the rope up and was to signal the rest of us to pull, the signal didn't come. I climbed the rope to find her as Langradrosa frozen to the spot. A sharp blade scraped against my forehead as I turned to see the mysterious lady stood above the hole. "That idiot would never have left without some back chat and a fight first. Not bad though." she looked closer at Elizabeths magical disguise. I took this opportunity to throw one of my smaller hammers at the lady to put her off guard. It struck her head and she staggered back allowing me to roll into the room and the disruption was enough to free Elizabeth from the paralysing spell she was under. Taran was quick up the ladder next, but the lady looked at us and shook her head, "to hell with this" I heard her say and before anyone could react she had ran out of the room through a passage on the far side. We soon heard the sound of soldiers footsteps rattling towards us. I quickly checked the side room for anyone hidden there, there was nothing but an empty bedroom.
Lea and Axel had climbed the ladder and joined us in this room, but so had three cultists. I charged myself forward hoping to catch them off guard but these were well trained men and they shrugged me off like rain. I fell to the side as Taran hit a green eldritch blast attack at them. Elizabeth followed the attack with her own using her crossbow to great effect. Lea threw magic at the one cultist driving him to look around confused. Axel then dug his spear in and finished them off.

Axel took charge and headed down the corridor with Elizabeth behind and the rest of us following. The room beyond was full of cultists and guards. Elizabeth still disguised as Langradrosa ordered them to leave us alone and escort us out of the cave. I could sense unease, but they complied. I had to let go of my axe momentarily to keep up the pretence of being prisoners, Elizabeth took it from me and a guard grabbed the top of my head to force me to get walking, this irked me incredibly, how dare he touch me in such a demeaning way. I glanced at Elizabeth who shook her head only slightly, I breathed deep and allowed the insult, knowing I can get my revenge soon enough. We were led out of the chamber so I did not see the reaction of Taran walking in with Langradrosa's sword still strapped to his back, we had all forgotten this and it was enough to give us away. The three guards that had marched myself, Axel and Lea out of the chamber looked at each other and ran off out of the cave, the cowards! Still, we were now free again and I led the charge back into the room. I saw the green glow of Taran's magic blast out. I reached for Drakesbane before recalling it was still with Elizabet. I did not hesitate, I grabbed my handaxes instead and swung it at the first enemy that came to view. The battle was over before it began really, Elizabeth had put some of the guards to sleep and there was no one left to fight.
We all stood there in the chamber and breathed again.

So last Wednesday we finally got out of the cave and headed back to Greenest. The governor had wanted us to meet with someone in a place called Elturel. But we figured we could do with restocking ourselves and finding some horses first, so Greenest was our next stop.
At Greenest I tried to sell the half dragon Langradrosa's head to some apothecaries, but they wouldn't have it. I tried to sell it to the governor after sneaking into his office, although pleased to see the thing dead he didn't want the head, so I wrapped it up in oilcloth and packed it away with a mental note to see if I can find some alchemists in Elturel or something.
The others restocked, grabbed new weapons and Joe's Taran had a private meeting with the governor.

We then headed off. Six days on horseback to get to Elturel, a sore and bumpy ride to be sure.
The city lay before us almost caressed by a large lively river flowing by its side. Three great stone bridges crossed the divide into the city. But what we noticed most, was above the city, a great big magical globe of light hung in the air overseeing all. It was like a second sun and shone an almost harsh white glow. We learned soon enough it was to deter undead from the city.
We found stabling for our horses and Drow and teifling vanished into the crowds eager to escape the hustle and bustle of the crowds I suspect. The rest of us found a accommodation in a comfortable inn, it wasn't long before Axel had attracted the attention of an old maid there, 'girl' only for her unmarried status, still she took a shine to the guard, which might come in handy later.
My room was luxurious, a bit too much for me, it was uncomfortable, but I managed to get a good night's sleep however. I woke to the old maid bringing in a hearty breakfast for me, the like of which I haven't had in many seasons.
Our small group gathered downstairs and discussed where we to go to find Leosin and his friend Ontharr. We needed to gather information, so we headed out and soon got swept up in the morning market. Taran managed to talk to one stall owner who gave us directions to a 'Black Antlers' inn. To thank the lady Taran asked to buy something from her stall. Unfortunately he hadn't seen that the piles of cloth were actually dresses until he picked one up and a red flush spread across his cheeks. The stall owner chuckled before bringing out a few cloaks for him instead, he brought one, thanked her and we made our way to the Inn.

We had not seen Elizabeth and Lea since the previous evening when they had slunk off into the crowds and disappeared, I had wondered if they were going to come back, but luckily there they were waiting for us outside The Pair of Black Antlers Inn, shortened by locals to the Black Antler. (these objects hung above the door.) Elizabeth and Lea had stayed in a much less respectable place then we had, but Elizabeth shrugged and said it was free with no questions asked.

We went inside and soon met Ontharr. A huge man with the features more befitting a dwarf then a man, smooth bald head and large ginger beard. I must admit I was curious and cautious and despite his height, I found him ruggedly handsome.
He has a jolly character, and joked with us for a while. Leosin was busy and so Ontharr suggested we did something to pass the time. We went to watch a chariot race! It was an incredible experience and Ontharr talked constantly about each charioteer. We got caught up in the excitement and we're soon placing bets. Loric vs Elden. Ontharr announced I had a trustworthy look about me and asked me to decide who he should bet on, I thought quickly through the information he had given us on the way here and soon declared Elden would win. Ontharr put 50gold down on Elden! I liked his guts and met his bet, 50 of my Gold for this young Elden to win the race. The race began and not even halfway through we were up on our feet cheering and yelling.
Elden won! He actually won! It was a great feeling to have my money doubled just like that, Ontharr was so pleased he gave me extra money and paid off my original bet for me! We had only spent a few hours together, but it felt more like we had been friends for many a season.

Our DM Rae rolled the only dice in that session and that was for the chariot race outcome. She chose a dice for each charioteer and it would be the one with the highest number would win. It got quite tense as she procrastinated, then she rolled and it was something like 4 and 3. But it was awesome that my bet won, especially as the NPC Ontharr had asked my character to choose. :)

Bit miffed that Maya and Kayleigh won't be at the next one. I mean Maya is like me, she hasn't missed a single session. And Kayleigh's only missed 2 or 3. And I really want to see them to tell them all about the dice masters tournament a went to on Saturday. Just shows how often I see Maya and Kayleigh.

So just a random question, what Edition of D&D does everyone play?

My group ended up transitioning from Pathfinder, to 2nd Ed, to 5th and now back to 2nd Ed with a few changes (one of which was keeping the critical failures and successes list).

Also does anyone else play anything other than D&D? I've also had a lot of fun in World of Darkness and GURPS as well (tons of awesome stories from both). :good:

One more thing I'd thought I'd post from our World of Darkness games, which is the List of "Things we're not allowed anymore in game"

Or also "Things the Storyteller banned because they broke the game"

#1 The Wasp Knife
#2 ANYTHING resembling a Ford Fiesta
#3 The creation of Tuck-tuck-boom-boom (basically a tonka truck with a cannon attached to it)
#4 The Gunslinger merit
#5 The Fencing Fighting Style
#6 The Sojutsu Fighting Style
#7 Ok, any other fighting styles have to be approved guys, seriously. No more
#8 ALL the benefits of the Stillness Shroud. Seriously guys you only get 1.
#9 Imbuing an Item
#10 Stacking Flamethrower Damage
#11 Tazers and any Tazer related items

On a side note, our poor Storyteller. Considering what we do to him in game when we're not on the leash, and the lengths he has to go to put us back on track.
