I fell off my diet today due to brief dysfunctional family drama. I ended up having a breakdown in tim hortons and can't beat myself up for 1 candy bar and 1 soda. I'll do better tomorrow. I'll be fine.

Thank you everyone for the snacker tips. We'll try them out and see what helps.

Starrley- I'll pm you.

Well, after falling off the wagon back in Feb (hubby hurt his back and I'm on his gym membership so if he doesn't go I don't go) I've forced us to get back to the gym. His back has been bothering him lately (threw it out again lol) so he's been going and reading there so I could work out. I really enjoy going and doing it. I just wish I could find the motivation to look forward to it. It's like when I'm there I love it. When I get home I love how I feel. The next day that is all gone and I have to force myself to not find a way to get out of it. I ended up not going today because I mowed the grass instead (and messed with my back that was slightly injured from strength training the day before) and I probably won't get to go tomorrow (I have to go to the viewing for my grandma which is a two hour drive and I have no idea how long I'm going to be there), although I really want to go so I might go anyway. We'll see how my back is treating me tomorrow.

I HATE THAT MY BACK IS INJURED SO EASILY!!!! Need more core strength training, darn it!

This is how I feel about exercise in general. I've decided I'm going to get back on track starting now. I would like to lose 40 pounds before my birthday in June. That's just 1-2 pounds a week and I think I can handle that. I've been "warming" myself back up by tracking all my food on MyFitnessPal again (even all the Halloween candy, I was bad). I've also started watching the Fitness Blender videos again. I love those videos.

Step 1: Get rid of all the Halloween candy that's still in the house!

Must be something in the air - I've decided this week is the week I get back on track as well! Managed a good gym session on Monday, and tried aerial silks for the first time last night. I had planned to go to the gym again today, but need to get college work done before tomorrow, so I'm planning a gym session followed by Zumba on Friday. I'd also hoped to fit in a swim at some point but that's looking unlikely... If only there were a couple more hours in the day!

That is so cool! And it sounds really tough. Talk about a core workout there! Was that at your local gym?

Definitely something in the air. This week I'm getting back on track too after having too much travel to be good for the last two months and gaining 5 lbs =(

Made it to the gym twice so far this week, and haven't been crazy with the eating (I think) but I know I really need to get back in the habit of tracking as I snack too easily otherwise. With the holidays coming up I know its only going to get worse, so I'd better be good now!

Also- my god aerial silks sounds frickin awesome! I wish they offered that at my gym.

Wow, that's funny. I'm also getting back on track starting today. I just got home from getting all of my good food and am going to start my workouts again on Saturday. Good luck everyone! :)

There's a place in Manchester that does the aerial silks, along with pole and aerial hoops. A friend managed to get us a good deal on 4 classes, so we thought we'd give it a go! Definately felt it in my arms, and a bit in my core. The guy taught us lots, and I can't wait to try more! Just a shame it's a 50minute drive in rush hour traffic to get to it.

Tonight it's the gym followed by Zumba, as I'm off with the uni lads for a bonfire celebration this weekend - lots of explosions and a BBQ. I've made chocolate cake and treacle toffee, so plan to do a good workout tonight to counteract some of the excess on Saturday!

Man, I really need to get back into the game. I've debated joining a gym, but I'm not sure if that'll actually help me or not. I need to work on my willpower. I have people that talk to me about it, but since they're mainly online, I tend to phase out of the places they are. I need someone who will go to the gym with me. I'm pretty much a hermit and really the only thing that gets me out is when friends force me out or I have to get food and the like.

I was just about to post and say how I was getting back into it when I hurt my back again. I dunno what I've done this time but it feels as bad as when I tore my ligament, really hoping I haven't done that again. So I have to skip the gym until I can walk/move without pain! I'm not happy, as I love going to the gym!
