Super Mario/Game of Thrones mashup

I've been fiddling with this for a while and I cannot get it right and I don't know why! I'd like to stitch up (eventually!) this image...
I'd be doing it on 18ct, I have a piece of 20x30" aida ready to go but if it needs to be bigger it's no problem, and anywhere between 40-70 colours would be great. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

It's a jpeg, that's why it looks a mess when you import it into your stitching program. You need a .png version really, that way the pixels don't get messed up in the compression process. Either find one online or contact the original maker of the picture to see if they have one. Failing that, it's either clean up the image yourself or remake it with sprites. The image also needs to be resized by 50% as it is twice as big as it needs to be for a cross stitch pattern.
EDIT: Looks like the person who made it is someone on Reddit.com called titan413. Try messaging them.

Never mind, I found the original image:

Resize the image down to 25% or to 322 x 606 pixels and import it into your pattern maker and you should be fine. Just remember to save the resized picture as a .png file.

That's ok, I'm at work at the moment, so all I could do was find the image. I can't even resize it easily as all I have at the moment is Paint.

I'm at work too, but I took a coffee break
I have installed The GIMP on my both computers (personal and office) ; much better than MS Paint I think !

Now to find mass amounts of evenweave to make the finished product a reasonable size...

That is amazing. I wish I had more time to stitch. I love that!
Hmmmm. I may make more time to stitch every time I can't quilt. I would love to make more of these projects.
