The Last Sprite Supper
I found this awesome image at unrealitymag.com and have been working all night, to no avail, to make it a pattern...
http://unrealitymag.com/wp-content/uplo ... supper.jpg
So here's what I'm looking for:
18 count aida, 422 x 203 stitches (in the original image, each pixel was actually 4, so I halved it from 844x406)
150-200 colors without loosing the details.
I've gotten it down to 322 using PC Stitch Pro, but there are still some colors just used 2-6 stitches, and that irks me
The detail that I'm losing when I go to less colors is the feet.
I'll upload my file if that makes it any easier.

Re: The Last Sprite Supper
Since resizing wasn't the issue, I can actually help!
Check out this 128 color version (bonus: it' at 18 DPI at the dimensions you wanted, so it's a straight import into PCStitch for a pattern.) I did this very quickly in Photoshop, but it looks good to me. As long as you don't care about the EXACT shades of each character it works fine. I would suggest changing the amount of colors in an image in a photo editor first - it will save you a lot of time and headaches.

I suck at re-sizing images, but reducing colors is easy-peasy if you have Photoshop (like anything after version 6).
I'll write up how I do this if no one else has - It literary took me less than 10 mins to finish.

Kuja... I'm not ashamed to say this... I think I love you!
As soon as I get some 18 count, I'm going to begin this behemoth! Will post WIP!

Hanging out here is very bad for my free time, it appears. Too many good ideas rolling around.
(And sadly, I have too much free time on my hands...)

Re: The Last Sprite Supper
The PDF and PCStitch files are attached. This is just a straight import - no tweaking.
Check out the floss usage on the last page of the PDF - some of them are only used for 20 stitches or less and you may be able to sub colors.
