Wanting to Trade Petite Needles for Regular Length Ones

Post by MeiTow »

Recently I bought some new needles and I found some that are half the size of normal tapestry needles and I though "that's awesome, I can run down my thread longer before I have to tie it off and I'm going to love these!" When I got them, however, I found my fat fingers makes working with them awkward and weird. So, basically, I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to trade me normal length ones for these petites.

It's a package of 6 (1 needle very slightly used, one mysteriously gone, 4 not touched) size 26 tapestry needles. The brand is John James.

When you say normal do you mean size 24? Also gold plated or not gold plated?

Size 24 or 26 would be fine. Gold plating doesn't matter to me.

I have a unopened pack of 3 size 24 gold plated needles, John James. Do those sound ok? Or I have an opened pack with one missing, 2x 24s and 3x 26s non gold plated needles from Prym.

Those sound great Queen B (Either/or would be fine with me. I'm not picky :D ). The only thing I'd be worried about is shipping cost overseas. Would it be worth it? As long as it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to ship them (I'd hope not since they are small and weigh nothing but you never know with overseas shipping lol). I'm going to be mailing some pieces out this week so I'll see if they can give me a rough estimate of costs to the U.K.

Yeah I wouldn't have thought it would cost that much, would be a letter rather than a parcel...

After I posted that I thought much the same thing. If you want to pm me your address I'll get them shipped out in the new few days. I'll be putting "Please do not bend, pictures enclosed" on the envelope. I heard to do this a long time ago to help keep letters from being bent even if they don't have pictures in them. lol
