I really should work out our time differences and then a time that we can all watch it together at the same time and chat using Facebook messenger. It would be like a long distance movie night/day.

I just wanted to pop in and say that it is looking pretty amazing. I'm a long-term lurker and nabbed the pattern as well. I'm not sure if I would be able to stick with it. Well done!

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that I have given up this project.

I was not enjoying it and had not worked on it all year. It wasn't practical for its intended recipient, the colours were wrong and I just decided, it's about time I called quits.

I will salvage Captain America from it, frame him.

But there we go, here's hoping some of you might be able to complete this. I wish you the best of luck.

Onwards and upwards!

Oh man, that's a hard decision! But, a totally understandable one. I support you for having the courage to do what keeps you happy. I had a similar experience with a hogwarts castle and owl that I was stitching to give to a friend. Stitched on it forever, and decided about 1/3 of the way through that the colors were just not right and it wasn't worth what it would take to complete.

I'm still WIP on the giant super mario world map, so clearly the experience didn't leave me any less crazy :tease:

Congrats on what you accomplished, and on to new things that you will enjoy spending time on!

Such a hard choice!

Glad that you are able to try and salvage Cap...good luck!

Thanks guys.

It was so surprising how much it hurt. I cried when I cut up the aida to get down to just the captain.
