Eeeekkkkk 4 days left and I still haven't finished.
Here are more progress shots.... been way too busy with life and happenings.
Deadlines are good for getting stuff done, bad for stress and pressure!
First image is most frustrating... the lattice work took soooo long and it is almost un-noticable. Put it this way, you would notice it not being there, but it isn't obvious there is something there at first
EDIT: Ahhhhhhh all the sewing done.... Construction now left

it looks beautiful! The jewel-tones are so pretty :)
I see what you mean about the lattice-work. I noticed it right away, but I wasn't sure what I was seeing. I think it's a nice detail but I can understand the frustration!

Yeah, the lattice-work grabbed my unconscious attention, but I wasn't sure what the little bit extra was until you pointed it out. The whole thing is gorgeous! I can't imagine how awful all that metallic work was, but it really paid off!

Done! *laughs manically at the 11th hour for her (or more accurately midnight)*
Couldn't/can't work on it tomorrow because I won't be anywhere near home so it was done as last min as I could leave it... what sucks is I still have to pack for a weekend away and be up in 6hrs for work... Oh wells.

Not my pattern so I can't take credit for the colours, but that lattice makes so much difference, but will mostly go un-noticed.... such a shame since so much work.

I have a new respect for metallic thread for sure... and people who do candlewicking/whitework! very different but sometimes I swear they would have that same un-noticed feel to some of their works
The last photo's of it!
After cutting and turning out.
After stuffing and closing.
After edging and completing.....

Bed soon *sighs*
A month of giving up reading to try and finish/do this. I hope mum's friends like their tiny but a lot of work wedding present!
Part of me can't wait to see it go, the other part of me wants to keep it... because I know I need to make one for me and mum now (and keeping this would mean one less)
