Celtic Bookmar(c)k

Post by Moxi »

I don't have very many VG-related things to post yet, so I thought that I would post a bookmark that I made for my husband several years ago. I used a couple of patterns that were available at a celtic cross stitch site (http://www.aon-celtic.com/free/cfreewarexstitch.html) and then charted out the rest on my own (I have a book with over 100 fonts that I used). There are actually a bunch of 1/4 and 3/4 stitches on it - you don't want to know how hard they were to do on plastic canvas! My husband's name is Marc, so that's where the play on words comes from.

Here's the cross itself is better light to show the stitching:

I love Celtic knots and crosses as well.
I had look really hard to see the actual stitching.
It just looks great. =]
