Wigan Warriors WIP
As some of you may or may not know, a couple of years back I started a 186x199 count piece as a gift for my parents of the crest of the family Rugby League team, Wigan Warriors.
Now since the team isn't well known outside of its field and origin, not many people stitch this logo, and with little knowledge of making my own patterns, I decided to take the best quality jpeg I could find and make my own pattern!Didn't come out too badly ^^
Now I've finally picked the thing back up and I'm gonna get it done in time for Christmas! I was thinking abut filling the lions in with gold effects thread, unless time forbids.
Thanks for looking guys!

Those lions look amazing!

Nice, clean outlining! All those fur flyaways are easy to muddy up in pixel form, so the conversion deserves extra kudos.
Mostly hibernating here. Find me on Twitter @rmdcade.

Thanks guys!
I'm glad I can post my stuff and people appreciate the work I put into them, just as I awe at all the cool stuff I see on here.
I'll keep the thread updated throughout it's progress!

Re: Wigan Warriors WIP
Hey guys! Sorry for the dead-ness recently, but here's a new WIP for my parent's piece.
Unfortunately I didn't get it done for Christmas, but I still got a chunk of it done, so I'm gonna finish it for a birthday present for my mum.
At first glance, it doesn't look like I did much, however I, since then, have:
Lined the rest of, and filled in all of the feathers(?) of the crest.
Lined and coloured the king/small lion.
Lined the crown on the shield
The other little black outlines and the berries on either side of the king.
..and the most painstaking, filled the castle, helmet, and the king's face in with white.
God, I hated that castle xD

It's coming along great! I love how you've kept in so much of the detail, it's really impressive

I love the look of this. I really want to do something like this with my familys' crests (both my maiden and married ones).

Thanks for all your support guys!
It's with a sigh of relief that I've finished, and literally just in time for when I wanted to gift it.
It's been 2 of the most tiring stitching-related weeks of my life.

Re: Wigan Warriors WIP
Unfortunately not, where there's yellow in the piece, there was going to be gold, but I don't have enough experience using the effects thread to use it properly, I struggled with it last time, and I only did about, 30 stitches with it and it took me like, half an hour plus I don't have any thread conditioner. (the name of the brand keeps escaping me)
And thanks.
