Re: Pinstripe Docto Who Scarf
Looks very nice. I think I may attempt to knit one of the 4th Doctor's scarves when I finish my first ever knitting project. I'll be looking forward to your WIPs. ^_^

I'm waiting for the rest of my yarn to get here so I can get started on a 4th Doctor scarf. My Whovian daughter complained last year that she didn't have a long scarf, so...

Yes, I'm using Vanna's Choice yarn. My daughter is allergic to wool, so it has to be acrylic or cotton. I found this web site: http://wittylittleknitter.com/ This woman has done some really thorough research on the scarves and gives yarn choices and the patterns for the various scarves. She even has a pic of Tom Baker with her scarf!

Progress!
Well, kinda. I've cast on about 130 stitches, because i'm using a chunky wool, it'll give me more length, plus I don't want to make it 2 meters (about 6 feet) long.
I got another couple balls of the brown stuff, too, so I should have enough.
Pic is of the needle I used to cast on and make the next row, i've got my circular needles now, so things should get easier.

Re: Who Scarves!
I am impressed with your progress and can't wait to see how it comes out! I was asked by a former housemate to make a scarf and he just went and picked up yarn of the appropriate colors without regard to material or amount. Needless to say I've done three full size scarves, a full-width half-length scarf and a quarter-width full-length version and I STILL have yarn left.

Wow, that looks great!
I just started mine today (got the last three colors I needed) I'm pleased with my progress so far, I've got 11" done in one evening.
