Motion City Soundtrack (2 projects)

Postby Jessii » Thu Aug 06, 2009 7:04 am

I made this in 2005
Image

After getting it autographed, the singer of the band asked me to make him a Cowboy Bebop xstitch. I was touring with the same music festival as the band, but hadn't seen Justin anywhere, so gave it to their guitarist Josh to give Justin. 15 mins later their bassist Matt comes running up to me going "I knew you'd be here!!! You made that for Justin didn't you!!!" Have you seen our new video clip? The couple on the couch would look good in cross stitch...................."
"Want me to make one for you?"
"WOULD YOU??"
(Recognised by cross stitch... lame or awesome? Haha.)

So this is the screen shot from their video clip

And this is the cross stitch that took 8 months and has over 60000 crosses!

I agree, tis awesome to be recognised for your cross stitch! And what else is awesome is that the band autographed your work.... that's gonna be worth something to someone one day! :D They should give you some sorta dedication or something lol :good:

From the blog on their website:

"I asked our friend Jessii in Australia last year if she could do a cross stitch of the It Had To Be You characters. She said yes. Little did I know it would take 472 hours and over 60,000 stitches. Well, here it is. Pretty amazing work.."
