The squares measure out to about 3/4 inch. I'm using this method

I don't think I'll have it done for Christmas. I managed to pick up extra hours at work and my hand is starting to complain.

Wow, this is absolutely stunning! Roughly how big is the finished blanket?
I've never seen the corner to corner technique before. I'm going to have to look into that one.

It's beautiful! Many thanks for posting the link to the tutorial btw - I've managed to make a small blanket using (mostly) stash yarn and it turned out really well! I love the detail of your blanket and it really pops with the black background

Umm, about 50-60in. My rulers are playing hide and seek at the moment so I can't re-measure it.
