Late last year, my talented photographer friend John (http://www.saringorodriguez.com/, https://www.facebook.com/saringorodriguez?pnref=lhc) approached me about putting on an art exhibit together. Although I was a bit worried about finding the time, I agreed. Most of my pieces were paintings or drawings, but I wanted to do a piece on recycling by making an image of a tree only using recycled packaging. I thought why not base it on a game sprite? In the end I chose a pot plant from pokemon ruby (and removed the pot). I don't think many people realised, but I felt good knowing that a bit of my geeky side was included
We had around 200 visitors, and got some very positive feedback
Note: I don't know why the uploader keeps rotating my picture, I might try to fix it in the morning... zzz
