I've always loved Moosh when I played through the Oracle games van the Legend of Zelda. So I decided to make him

Aww that's cute! Congrats on your first quilt. As a fellow quilter, I do suggest that you add some more quilting lines in there. If you read the package for your batting, it will tell you the max distance you should have between lines - it helps with stability

Semsem is absolutely correct. I always say you should never have an area larger than your fist that isn't quilted. If you do, it could slip and the fabric could move and stretch and you don't want that.

Yes, it looks fabulous! But I gotta echo what Semsem and tnitnetny said - I'm not a quilter, but I've absorbed quilting sensibilities from people around me, and the second thing I thought when I saw the image (the first was "wow" ) was that the batting would end up bunching in those big, unquilted squares.

Fantastic. I love hot vibrant the blue looks against the yellow background. I'd have never guess that it was your first!
